This is for the conversion of your service from your existing Directpage Pager to the Directpage Virtual Paging Service.

Simply enter the information requested on the form below. If you would like to receive text message notification, just enter your 10 digit cell phone number and the name of your cell phone service provider in the designated spaces.
If you would like to receive notification at an email address in addition to your cell phone or as a text message on a 2nd cell phone, enter the email address or 10 digit cell phone number in the "2nd email address or cell #" area and specify the cell phone provider for the 2nd phone number in the designated space.
If your pager service has voicemail, you will need to re-record your greeting and any voicemails that were in the system will be deleted, so be sure to check your voicemails before completing this transaction.
Conversion to Virtual Paging takes place on weekdays only (not including holidays) between the hours of 10am and 6pm eastern time. Orders entered before or after these hours will take place during the next business day. Conversion usually happens in about 60 minutes or less during these hours. Please keep this activation information in mind if you need to make email address or phone number changes in the future.
Once this transaction is complete your pager will stop receiving pages and your phone or email accounts will begin receiving your pages. You will also receive a confirmation email/text message with your own pager phone number.

The response to our virtual paging conversion offer has been excellent. Most of our Virtual Paging customers love the fact that they don't need to carry a separate pager but can still retain their pager phone number for the privacy and urgency that paging offers. The fact that virtual paging works everywhere your phone receives messages is also an added benefit.
A few of our customers have found that after switching to virtual service, they want to switch back to their pager for various reasons such as they are not able to hear their text messaging alert or their text messaging alert does not repeat and they are missing important and urgent pages. These issues are very much phone model dependent.
Some customers find that they really like virtual paging, but their phone has reception issues in some areas that their pager receives a signal. These customers have added the benefits of virtual paging along with their existing paging service. This is a $4.95/month option called message carbon copy as pages are sent to both the pager and as a text or email. From our own experience, the Blackberry smartphones offer the most alert options such as the ability to set a distinct tone for individual email accounts as well as set a vibrating alert. Many of our virtual paging customers use the popular Apple Iphone and find that the text alert repeat feature in the latest upgrade is very useful as it will repeat the text alert once if you do not respond to the first text alert.
If for any reason, you are not satisfied with virtual paging, just use the contact us form at the top of our website and request that we switch you back to your pager. We keep a record of your previous paging information and conversion back to your standard pager is normally not an issue. In some instances, your previous pager may be on a list of rationalized frequencies or was not functioning before your conversion and we will have to send you a replacement pager. We will contact you via email if that is the case.
